Health reimbursement

Vergoedingen door verzekeraars bij primaire amputatie

Application

If you are interested in our treatment, you can register through a referral (GP and/or medical specialist) via the AOFE Clinics website. You register by filling in a questionnaire.

Your health insurer can help you regarding reimbursement. If AOFE Clinics has not concluded a contract with your health insurer, you can find the passer-by rates on our website. In your policy conditions, your health insurer may have indicated how much is reimbursed in case of non-contracted care. If you cannot find this in your policy conditions, we advise you to contact your health insurer.

How is a care note created?

Those who go to the hospital receive care, from a doctor’s examination to an X-ray. But the hospital does not charge for these separately. They appear in one package of care, called a DTC care product, on the bill. DTC stands for Diagnosis Treatment Combination and thus consists of all the activities of a hospital and medical specialist that result from a particular care request. Diagnosis and treatment together result in a single price charged by the hospital. This is recorded in a single administrative code.

Reimbursement, No-show rate and Fee lists

  • Because AOFE Clinics has no contract with a health insurer, you pay the invoice directly to us before the treatment takes place. You can then submit this invoice to your health insurer. AOFE Clinics advises you to contact your health insurer before you come to us for treatment. They can tell you more about reimbursement. AOFE Clinics can prepare a letter requesting reimbursement for you.
  • If you do not turn up for your appointment without giving 24 hours' notice, you will be charged for the consultation.
  • We have set a rate for each treatment. Our Treatments are listed in the Passers-by rates.

Referral letter

Your GP (or rehabilitation doctor ) plays an important role in the treatment process because in order to get reimbursed for care covered by the basic package, you need a referral letter from your GP or rehabilitation doctor. We actually always ask you to mail this letter to us or bring it with you on your first appointment. If this referral letter is not present at your first visit, we will not be able to provide the treatment as reimbursed care. The care can then only take place as so-called non-reimbursed care.

Research protocols

Before going to AOFE Clinics, you will be asked to have a CT scan and a Radiological examination. These examinations should be put on a CD-ROM.

You can take the results of the examination with you to your first outpatient consultation.
